Rita Horton began working for Diana L. Skaggs in 1990 as a legal secretary and provided administrative support primarily for her. As accurate a typist as was ever born, Rita was also a highly valued member of our team for her dependability. If there was snow or ice on the ground, she would nonetheless be in the office at 7:30 a.m. unless someone called her and insisted she not come in. She never missed work and used to have to be told to take more vacation time. Once her children were scattered as far as Guam and she had out-of-town grandchildren, Rita did enjoy her well-deserved vacation time. She attended Purdue University and began her working career at a stock brokerage firm in Milwaukee before moving to Louisville and beginning a new career as a legal assistant for another attorney. Rita retired December 3, 2015. It was our great privilege to have had her in our office for 25 years!
