November is national adoption month, and on Friday, November 19, 2021, a local celebration has been planned at the Judicial Center in downtown Louisville.
Several local family court judges are planning on using that date to finalize and celebrate adoptions that are near completion right now.
The adoption sub-committee is working with local attorneys and the Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) so that newly joined families can enjoy snacks and other special surprises after a morning reception.
The COVID pandemic interrupted this annual celebration last year. For those not comfortable participating in person, a Zoom option should be available.
